My story begins right here!
My name is Suman, and, represent myself as a web designer, digital marketer, and professional blogger through “Samwebdesigner.com“.
Back in 2012, when I was working as a primary school teacher, I came across a radio interview where a person was discussing the potential of earning money online. Intrigued by his words, I became inspired to explore online earning opportunities. My research led me to a company offering Forex and binary options trading. In my eagerness to make quick money, I invested in their platform. However, I soon realized that it was a “get rich quick” scheme that didn’t work for me.
Unfortunately, I lost some of the hard-earned money I had invested due to a lack of proper trading knowledge and strategy.
Undeterred, I continued my research and stumbled upon the concept of “freelancing“. This discovery left me in awe, and I immediately started studying the profiles of top freelancers. Their impressive portfolios, testimonials, and ratings became a great source of inspiration for me.
Most importantly, I learned that there are no shortcuts to success and that hard work is essential. Despite the challenges, I was determined to pursue a career as a freelancer.
Once again, I delved into online research and came across freelance platforms such as “Elance” and “Odesk“, which were prominent freelance companies at that time. (They have since merged to become Upwork).
The early days of my freelancing journey were tough as I struggled to secure my first job due to a lack of experience, portfolio, testimonials, and reviews. I vividly remember the sleepless night when I woke up at 2 am and 3 am, pondering my future.
Days and months went by, but I was still unable to secure a job.
However, I refused to lose hope and remained determined. I made the bold decision to quit my job and dedicate myself entirely to freelancing. I focused my efforts on building impressive profiles, learning website design skills, and conducting extensive research on the internet.
Finally, my persistence paid off. I landed my first job through Elance, earning $50. It was an incredible feeling, and my excitement knew no bounds.
My first client, Steve from the USA, entrusted me with his project. I poured all my energy into delivering a high-quality static web design, and fortunately, he was extremely pleased with the final product. He awarded me a 5-star rating and provided glowing testimonials. This positive feedback proved invaluable in attracting more clients in the future.
With every successful project, my profile grew stronger, and I began to receive more opportunities. I continued to expand my knowledge, conduct research, earn certifications online, and build my experience in the field.
Now, after 10 years have passed, I am proud to say that I have accumulated over 80 verified ratings and successfully completed 270 website contracts. Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of working with clients from 18 different countries.
